While our storefront is located in Spokane Valley, Washington, many of our customers travel from across the region to shop our carefully curated selection of soap making and bath & body supplies. Greencastle Soap Company & Maker’s Apothecary is proud to serve makers and handmade product enthusiasts throughout the greater Inland Northwest. Maker’s from Pullman, Moscow, Lewiston, Missoula, Cheney, Moses Lake, Coeur D’Alene, Post Falls, Bonners Ferry, Spirit Lake, Newman Lake, Otis Orchards, Greenacres, Sprague, Ritzville, Colville, Chewelah, Kettle Falls, Yakima, Richland, Kennewick, Tri-Cities, Soap Lake and many other areas have made our shop their destination for sourcing quality ingredients, finding inspiration, asking questions and gaining and hands-on learning opportunities. Whether you’re a hobbyist experimenting with your first batch of soap or an experienced maker refining your recipes, our shop is designed to support makers at every stage of their creative journey.

A Destination for Soap Makers and DIY Creators

Maker’s Apothecary offers a thoughtfully selected range of supplies for soap making, skincare, and bath & body crafting. Our goal is to provide makers throughout the Inland Northwest with access to the same high-quality ingredients and tools used by experienced artisans.

Customers visiting our Spokane Valley shop will find:

  • Soap making oils, butters, and specialty ingredients
  • Colorants, clays, and natural additives
  • Molds, tools, and equipment
  • Packaging and finishing supplies
  • Fragrance oils and essential oils for bath and body products

One of the most popular features of the store is our Scent Wall, where makers can explore and test the wide variety of fragrance oils and essential oils we carry. Being able to smell and compare scents in person helps makers choose the perfect fragrance for their soaps, candles, and body products.

For many creators in the Inland Northwest, the Scent Wall has become a favorite stop when developing new product ideas or seasonal collections.

Workshops for Makers Across the Region

In addition to supplies, we host a variety of hands-on workshops and maker events throughout the year. These classes attract participants from across Eastern Washington, North Idaho, and Western Montana who want to learn new skills or connect with other makers.

Our workshop offerings include:

  • Soap Making Workshops covering cold process, hot process, and specialty soaps such

as goat milk soap

  • Monthly “Make With Me” sessions that focus on unique design techniques and creative

soap artistry

  • First Friday Make & Take workshops, where participants can create bath and body

products in a relaxed evening setting

These classes provide an opportunity for makers to learn new techniques, build confidence in their craft, and spend time creating alongside others who share an interest in handmade products.

Serving the Inland Northwest Maker Community

For over 35 years Greencastle Soap Company & Maker’s Apothecary have become part of a growing community of artisans and small businesses throughout the Inland Northwest. Many of the makers who shop with us are developing their own product lines, selling at local markets, or simply enjoying the creativity that comes from making things by hand.

Whether you’re visiting from Spokane Valley, Coeur d’Alene, Missoula, or anywhere in the surrounding region, we invite you to stop by the shop, explore our supply selection, and experience the inspiration that comes from a space designed specifically for makers.
